Washington, Jan 17 (ANI): A nude picture of Madonna taken in 1979, which was later published in Playboy, is set to go under the hammer.
The full-frontal photograph of the Material Girl will be put up for sale at Christie’’s auction house in New York on February 12.
According to reports, the rare picture might rake in at least 10,000 dollars.
Matthieu Humery, head of Christie’’s photography department, said the picture was taken when Madonna was a financially strapped 20-year-old dancer.
In need for money, the Queen Of Pop responded to photographer Lee Friedlander’’s newspaper ad seeking a nude model.
And, at the time, the pop superstar posed for a fee of just 25 dollars, reports People.
While Playboy published six photos from the shoot in 1985, the one going on sale is “maybe the most explicit one,” said Humery. (ANI)
