London, Jan 14 (IANS) Pop star Madonna appreciated singer Lady Gaga for taking inspiration from her iconic song “Express Yourself” in last year’s album “Born This Way”, admitting she “recognised” the tune and found the similarities “interesting”.
Gaga came under fire following the release of the lead track of her second album after critics and fans pointed out the song’s melody is almost identical to that of the Madonna’s classic.
“I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song. I mean, I recognised the chord changes. I thought it was… interesting,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted Madonna as saying.
