Madge was ‘barely conscious’ to talk to cops after horse accidentApril 23rd, 2009 - 1:08 pm ICT by ANI
Washington, April 23 (ANI): Madonna has slammed claims that she fell short of informing the police about the paparazzi’s involvement in her riding accident, saying she was “barely conscious” after the fall.
The Queen of Pop had been rushed to a hospital on New York’s Long Island after she fell off a horse while riding in the Hamptons on April 18.
The singer was released hours later and her rep Liz Rosenberg issued a statement saying a paparazzo was responsible for startling the horse by taking surprise pictures.
Photographer Thomas Hinton had denied sparking the accident, saying he was the only one taking photos but had left before the 50-year-old took the tumble.
Sergeant Herbert Johnson also said no paparazzo was mentioned in the report filed by the megastar.
But Madonna’s spokeswoman insisted Madonna was too shocked to narrate the incident.
“Madonna was barely conscious and had fainted twice, right after the fall and when she was in the ambulance,” Contactmusic quoted Rosenberg as telling Access Hollywood.
“She only remembers giving the police her name. They never asked her what happened. This could have been a very dangerous situation and we’re just all grateful that she wasn’t hurt more seriously,” she added. (ANI)
