Madge, Gwyneth Paltrow donate designer bags to Italian earthquake fund

Washington, June 4 (ANI): Madonna and best pal Gwyneth Paltrow are putting their purses up for auction, to help raise funds for the victims of the deadly earthquake that struck Italy in April.
The duo is leading the campaign, for which they have joined forces with celebrities including Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston and Eva Longoria Parker to sign and donate their Salvatore Ferragamo handbags to community charity GlobalGiving.org.
The proceeds from the online auction will go to GlobalGiving’s Italy Earthquake Recovery and Relief Fund, reports Contactmusic.
The funds will be used to help the thousands of people injured and left homeless by the natural disaster, which struck the Abruzzo mountain region of the country on April 6.
Other stars giving out their purses to charity include Lucy Liu, Dita Von Teese, Marisa Tomei and Lily Tomlin.
The auction began on June 2 on eBay.com, and it ends on June 12. (ANI)
