Madame Tussauds ‘Waxes’ Dame Helen Mirren

London, May 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) British actress Dame Helen Mirren recently attended a program held at Madame Tussauds in London to unveil her own wax statue. As the wax statue was unveiled, the actress seemed very pleased at the sight of the structure which stood in front of her and kissed the figure on the cheek, joking that perhaps her husband would prefer the figure to herself, considering that the statue would not argue with her husband.
Dame Helen Mirren’s wax structure is the new addition to the museum’s line of celebrity wax statues. The actress was visibly excited, saying that it is indeed a great honor to be a part of Madame Tussuads’ celebrated wax statues. According to reports, her wax figure has been placed with the A-listers of the entertainment industry. Liz Edwards, the PR Manager of Madame Tussauds has said that it is a great achievement on the part of the museum that they have been able to include such an iconic star in their midst. He also stated that Dame Helen Mirren was often the leading name in the visitor surveys conducted by the museum from time to time in order to get a view of the actors that the public would like to see at the Madame Tussauds.
The unveiling of the Dame Helen Mirren wax structure took place on Tuesday. As the actress stood beside her statue for the photographers, it seems that it was quite difficult for the onlookers to distinguish the wax statue from the real human. The statue is indeed lifelike, claim reports.
