‘Mad Men’ Barbies in the pipeline

ken New York, Mar 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Barbie dolls inspired by the television drama ‘Mad Men’ are in the pipeline. The manufacturers of the acclaimed doll revealed that plans are afoot to launch a new line of collectible ‘Mad Men’ dolls. These dolls will be modeled on the TV drama’s executive Don Draper and his partner in the advertising industry – Roger Sterling.

Mad Men is an acclaimed TV show, and has been a huge hit on the AMC cable TV network. The characters of the show are quite scandalous in nature, and keep getting stuck in loads of problems, out of which some are related to their business and professional lives, whereas others are related to their love lives as well. This show has also won the top honors in the TV awards race. It won the Emmy award for the best TV drama.

The Barbie doll is world famous, and she comes in various versions. In mid February, the Computer Engineer version of the Barbie doll was launched, which was designed with the help of the Society of Women Engineers. They had designed the doll with the aim that more and more girls would get encouraged and motivated to join the Computer Engineering profession. Nora Lin, president of the Society of Women Engineers said that, “As a computer engineer, Barbie will show girls that women can design products that have an important and positive impact on people’s everyday lives.”
