Los Angeles, March 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The doll lovers have got much to cheer as Mattle has announced that it will produce Barbie and Ken which will resemble the four “Mad Men” characters, Joan Harris, Roger Sterling Junior, Elizabeth “Betty” Draper, Donald Francis “Don” Draper. The company has decided to produce the kens and barbies after the huge success of the television show.

These dolls will come up with fashionable clothes. However, the television characters’ cigarettes and martinis will be given a miss, which would be well sufficed with the fashionable dresses that the dolls will wear. The exclusion of the trade mark martini glasses and cigarettes which are seen in the hands of the character in each and every episode has made many fans of the doll making company wonder how much the models will resemble the characters. “Mad Men” is one of the most popular television series and it has won the Emmy Awards for being the best small screen drama series for two consecutive years.

According to reports, the company will launch in the market around 7000 to 10,000 new barbies and kens. However, the price for each of the doll has been kept quite high. Each doll will come at a price of $74.95. The doll making company has designed the doll not for child play but according to reports, the dolls will be launched in the market as a Premium-price collector’s series named Barbie Fashion Model Collection. The company’s decision to adopt the popular series has been welcomed by the doll lovers and collectors, along with the fans of the television drama.
