London, Oct 19 (ANI): Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney is all set to join other performers including Take That, Lily Allen and Muse for a charity gig for Children in Need in November.
Dame Shirley Bassey, Leona Lewis, Dizzee Rascal and Snow Patrol are also slated to make an appearance on the show.
The show organised by Take That’s Gary Barlow will be hosted by Radio 1’s Chris Moyles.
Tickets for the November 12 show that will be held at London’s Royal Albert Hall have been priced between 50 to 100 pounds and will be sold out by ballot.
“This concert is helping to make a really special year for Children In Need,” The BBC quoted Sir Terry Wogan as saying on his Radio 2 show.
Barlow was scheduled to make the announcement on Friday morning, but had to cancel it due to a death in the family.
Sir Terry added: “Our sympathies are with you Gary and thank you for all you’re doing on Children In Need.”
Barlow had earlier said: “I’ve always wanted to do something like this and I can promise a night to remember, a night that will, I hope, play a small part in changing the lives of disadvantaged children across the UK.”
The show will be broadcast on BBC One and its highlights will be aired on Radio 2. (ANI)
