Macca prefers small coffee houses to Starbucks

December 15th, 2007 - 6:16 pm ICT by admin -

Washington, Dec 15 (ANI): Sir Paul McCartney has admitted that he prefers visiting smaller independent coffee outlets rather than Starbucks.

The revelation could anger his bosses at the global coffee chain, as the former Beatle is one of the highest profile artists signed to the multinational company’s Hear Music label.

“I go to the cafe next door to one of the Starbucks, to my everlasting shame. It’s all right, Contactmusic quoted McCartney as saying.

“Listen Howard Schultz (Starbucks’ chairman), if you’re reading this, please forgive me, I love soy latte and I always have it to go. I don’t often sit in Starbucks,” he added.

MCCartney was the first star to sign to Hear Music, after leaving his long-time label EMI in March (07). (ANI)
