Paul McCartney London, August 03 (ANI): Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of ‘Glee’, has revealed that he it was surprising to know that Sir Paul McCartney is a fan of his show.

Murphy also discovered that the ex-Beatle wanted his music to be part of it.

Sir Paul enclosed a mix of some of his tunes, including Michelle, and asked Murphy to consider using them on the series about high school misfits in a glee club.

“I was gobsmacked. I grew up with that guy. So, of course, we are going to do something,” the Mirror quoted Murphy as telling the Television Critics Association’s summer meeting in Beverly Hills, California.

And Sir Paul won’t be the only British name associated with Glee when it returns next season.

Murphy said Britain’s Got Talent discovery Susan Boyle was in talks to be part of the Christmas episode.

Another hour will feature the songs of Britney Spears, and the show is wooing a “major” artist for a tribute episode to be shown after the Super Bowl next year. (ANI)
