Nov. 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Nov. 12 episode of “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia”, entitled “Mac and Sunny Break Up” was so far the most entertaining of the series. It was despite the fact that it had no guest appearances that keep popping up every now and then on the show, no big and grandiose sets and not even a lot of hullabaloo and slapstick comedy. What it had was a joke every minute and a whole lot of funny situations despite being one of the calmest episodes ever in which nobody ran around like electrically charged particles.

The episode centers around the duo Sunny and Mac. The strength of their relationship has to undergo an acid test as they are required to stay apart from one another for a while. The decision is voluntary, of course, as they are forced to take it as quarrels become more and more frequent between them, centering on one silly thing after another. The scene where they “break up’, instead of infusing any tragic element, ends up being hilarious, helped by the fact that they are actually fighting about which film to watch. Nevertheless, the purpose is served: no one wants to cry while watching a comedy soap.

While the relationship between Mac and Dennis titters on the verge of a collapse, another relationship shows the promise of blossoming. Charlie and Dee spend a considerable time with each other. Charlie helps her find the cat that she had characteristically misplaced in the wall, using his expertise in all things feline. Charlie was definitely the entertainer of the show as he maintained a strange, girlish demeanor throughout.
