Actor Jackie Shroff has been away from the big Bollywood screen for quite some time now and his last films have seen the actor essaying the role of the lead actor’s or actress’ father. Well Jackie Shroff is back, albeit in a small budget movie titled Maalik Ek. The actor’s upcoming film is scheduled for a late October release. Maalik Ek will see Jackie Shroff essaying the role of the spiritual guru Shirdi Sai Baba, hailed as a deity in various parts of India.
Apart from Jackie Shroff, the movie will also see the likes of Manoj Kumar, Divya Dutta and singer Anup Jalota essaying various roles in the film. As we all know, Anup Jalota is known for scoring music for several religious films. This time though, Deepak Balraj Vij, the director of Maalik Ek has also roped in the musician to enact the role of Das Ganu for his film.
Hitting screens worldwide on the 29th this month, the film based on Shirdi Sai Baba is expected to draw a huge crowd to the theaters. So will this be the comeback venture for Jackie Shroff, who had been a very popular face during the 90s? We will have to wait and watch!
