Luis Fonsi’s latest shoots to top of Latin Albums chart

Jennifer Lopez Miami, July 8 (IANS/EFE) Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Luis Fonsi’s new CD, “Terra Firme”, tops this week’s Billboard list of top-selling Latin Albums.

The self-titled disc by Prince Royce moved into the second spot, trading places with “Drama y Luz”, the latest from Mexican rockers Mana.

“MTV Unplugged”, by Mexico’s Los Tigres del Norte, jumped from ninth place to the No. 4 spot, and Aventura’s “14 + 14″ remained at No. 5.

Reggaeton heavyweight Don Omar’s “Taboo” moved from second place into the top spot on Billboard’s Latin Songs chart, where the rankings are based on radio airplay.

“You”, from Aventura vocalist Romeo Santos’ solo album, “Formula”, fell to No. 2, while Jennifer Lopez remained in third position with “Ven a bailar”, featuring Pitbull, whose “Give Me Everything”, with Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer, climbed from seventh to fourth.

“Te amo y te amo”, by La Adictiva Banda San Jose de Mesillas, held steady at No. 5 on the Billboard Latin Songs chart.
