Los Angeles, June 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Los Angeles Lakers had their lucky charm performing for them at the beginning of the game against the Boston Celtics.

Or at least, that is how most feel about Jeffrey Osborne, who is considered to be the lucky charm of the Los Angeles Lakers, with the popular belief doing the rounds that the team wins whenever he performs during their games.

The idea most possibly struck after the Los Angeles Lakers got to snatch an impossible victory from the Boston Celtics back in the 1980s, another final that Jeffrey Osborne performed in.

This time too, Lakers fans are hoping that the charm will hold and the team would be crowned the champions of the series.

Jeffrey Osborne turned up on the podium before the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics began on Thursday. As he took to the stage, huge cheers broke out among the audience, needless to say, from the sections that seated the fans of the Los Angeles Lakers. The artist sang the national anthem, true to form, one hand on his heart. As he belted out his rendition of the Star Spangles Banner, the assembled crowd of spectators got to their feet, singing along with him.

Jeffrey Osborne is a self confessed fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, a fact that possibly explains why he is seen at the beginning of almost every final that the Lakers play in.

This time, he performed at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. He would also be performing at the beginning of the next game of the Los Angeles Lakers, which would be held on Sunday.
