Lou Reed receives death threats
November 4th, 2011 - 10:01 am ICT by IANSLondon, Nov 4 (IANS) Rock musician Lou Reed has received “threatening” letters from Metallica fans who are fuming over his collaboration with the heavy metal band.
The 69-year-old has teamed up with the group to record new album Lulu, but Reed admits many of the band’s devotees are unhappy about the record.
“(They) are threatening to shoot me, and that’s only because I showed up. They haven’t even heard the record yet, and they’re recommending various forms of torture and death,”contactmusic.com quoted Reed as saying.
