Reality shows are the latest attraction in television today and among them, “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here” is quite a prominent one. The season 2 of the show which started from June 1, reached its finale where Lou Diamond Philip was declared the winner. The second and third positions were secured by former pro wrestler Terrie Wilson and former pro basketball player John Sally.
The finale episode was quite a unique one full of recollections of past events. Besides the three finalists the other contestants were also present. All the other contestants discussed about their experiences, like Sanjaya Malakar of American Idol fame, to whom the torture tank was the most scary experience. Soon it was declared that John was not the winner and it was at the end that Lou was crowned the winner.
47 year old Lou Diamond is a celebrated actor in both the big and the small screen. Philips made a mark with La Ramba, where playing the role of rocker Ritchie Valens, Lou gained both popular and critics’ favor. “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here” is the adaptation from the reality show in UK of the same name. The Bulk share of Lou’s winning money will go to his chosen charity organization, Art has Heart, which is aimed at providing Scholarships for needy high school students.
