Lottery for Michael Jackson’s memorial tickets at www.staplescenter.com

It was just announced in a press conference that the tickets for Michael Jackson’s memorial service would be given out for free via a lottery. The people interested to go to the memorial service, need to register at www.staplescenter.com by 6pm Saturday. The winners would be asked to use a special code at ticketmaster.com and then be instructed to collect their tickets and wristbands.
It was further stressed that no tickets would be sold. All tickets would be given for free and each person would be entitled to register once and the ones who win the lottery are entitled to 2 tickets each. The Jackson family have arranged for all television channels to access the live feed of the memorial service for free.
The memorial service would be conducted at Staples Center(11,000 tickets) and Nokia Theatre(6,500 tickets). A total of 17,500 tickets would be given away. People who don’t have tickets for the memorial service are instructed to not come to the venue at all, since the service wont be telecast on the LED screens outside.
At the time of writing, www.staplescenter.com was opening very slow, occasionally not opening at all, sometimes only loading portions of the page.

The website is not working and was not working from the minute I tried it, which was within 90 seconds of the announcement as to how to register for MJ Memorial tickets.

Michael Jackson, what a lost to the family, what a lost to the world of music, to all the children and adults all over this world. Michael love the children in his God given special way, always trying to find a way to heal the sick and homeless, the less fortunate, to bring joy and laughter to these special children. PLEEEAAASSSEEE!!! I NEED JUST ONE TICKET!!! This is how I will remember this Entertainer! I am only 7 years older than MJ but it seem I knew him all my life. Even though I long stop listening to his music I never stop loving my big brother Michael Jackson. Tis world has said some awful things about him that I have never believed and never will; his only crime was he had a big heart in his child like manner that some folks never ever understood! I thought his music and singing were great. I feel he was a very kind-hearted and gentle person, and many people did not understand him. He had a lot of bad luck in his life and he was trying to cope the best way he knew how.
I would like a ticket to go to see his tribute, because I know i will truly enjoy it. He will be missed by many of us.
