Nashville, Nov 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) All the fans of country music star Loretta Lynn had something to look forward to at the Country Music Association Awards 2010 which took place in Nashville on Wednesday night. The ardent fans of the veteran actress surely could not have asked for anything more as Loretta Lynn took the stage for the first time in years which left the large number of audiences present at the event asking for more. The gala award ceremony which reached its 44th year this time, as expected turned out to be a star-studded event which was attended by the who’s who of country music.
Loretta Lynn rocked the stage at the 44th CMA awards on Wednesday night as she performed along with Sissy Spacek who is best known for edging the main lead in the country music star’s 1980’s biopic “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” The stellar performance that was delivered by the two leading ladies turned out to be one of the highlights of the grand award ceremony as the audiences gave a thundering applause. The 78-year-old veteran country music star looked ravishing as she adorned a beautiful peach gown and went on to display an impressive performance that won wide accolades from the audiences.
The fact that Loretta Lynn was the first winner in the category of the Female Vocalist of the Year which was bestowed on her way back in 1967, came as quite a surprise not only to the audiences but also to the country star herself. “That’s great,” was her only reaction when she got to know of her feat which she added with her signature self deprecation.
