Winter is here in full swing and it is time for all the woolens stocked away to be pulled out sun dried and flaunted in all the bright colors that one has in ones wardrobe.

Well, one of the most desirable and comfortable woolens in ones wardrobe is surely the long overcoat. Overcoats are certainly the need of the hour as the chill in the air is something which only these woolen long coats can stop from freezing the daylights out of us.

So, what is the right kind of overcoat to be invested in? Overcoats are available in a variety of colors, shades and hues. The fabric of the overcoat can also vary from the pure woolens, to tweeds to suede, to mixed fabrics and leather.

Now the best investment in an overcoat would be to stick to the basics. Colors like beige, brown, black, white are almost very popular all over with a variety of shades in these very colors incorporated to suit individual tastes and demands.

However, if one has the luxury of investing in more than one or more than a couple of these, then there are quite a colorful range available too. Various shades of pink, red, yellow, green and blue are also quite in vogue. Some of these colorful overcoats can be used for more formal occasions and can surely add that extra bit of zing to an otherwise dull outfit.

The best way to enhance the colorful overcoat would be to pair them with matching or a total contrasting  footwear, for example if one has on a light pink overcoat then it is best to go in for black or brown footwear, it can be paired with matching footwear for very formal occasions though!
