Arnold Schwarzenegger Washington, Jul 1 (ANI): American actor Alec Baldwin has revealed that he was made a proposition by a local law firm in Ohio, who are keen to support him, to run for Governor.

Baldwin, 51, had spoken out about his political aspirations, and after he made public his plans to retire from acting in 2012, he was approached by a group of leading Ohio businessmen who want him to consider running for office there.

“A law firm in a liberal Democratic bastion in Ohio state politics sent me a binder with a cover letter that read: ‘Mr. Baldwin, here’s who we represent, the kinds of cases we handle, our credentials in Ohio state politics. We want you to move to Ohio and run for Governor. We will launch your career’,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling Playboy magazine.

And Baldwin admits that he has been tempted by the offer to join the ranks of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jesse Ventura and become a celebrity Governor - or simply run for political office elsewhere.

“The desire is there,” he added. (ANI)
