Liza Minnelli Revamps ‘Single Ladies’ For “Sex And The City” Sequel

May 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It is official now. Liza Minnelli will sing to the tunes of ‘Single Ladies’ in the upcoming soundtrack of “Sex and the City 2″. The video footage shows the singer in a black sequinned dress, the same dress will apparently be used in the movie. In fact it is the 64 year old singer herself who will make a cameo appearance in the sequel of the hit film.
It is still hard to gauge the reactions of the listeners who have witnessed the same song becoming a raging hit on the lips of Beyonce Knowles. However that part of the story may well be forgotten because Liza Minnelli will not only sing the song but also enact herself in “Sex and the City 2″ where she performs to the track on the wedding day of Stanford Blatch, played by Willie Garson, in the movie.
Speaking to the media, Liza Minnelli says that she had a blast on the sets of the movie. Considering that the number itself is very peppy, we are sure that the singer did enjoy herself while performing to it. “Sex and the City 2″ comes to the theaters on the 27th of this month and is sure to draw the audience as well, considering that not only Liza Minnelli but also Penelope Cruz and Miley Cyrus stage brief roles in the much awaited film. The audio album will also be available for purchase in counters from the 25th of May, that is two days before the movie releases.
‘Single Ladies’ (Put A Ring On It) is one of the Grammy winning songs of Beyonce Knowles. Liza Minnelli has surely given something new to the song. How well the audience accepts it is to see next weekend.
