Oct 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actress Lisa Rinna is probably not the only one who has faced this in the beginning of her career, but unlike her, very few would want to open up about it. Where many people succumb to the casting couch practice in the tinsel world, Lisa Rinna was one who did not. In her upcoming novel “Starlit”, the actress has described some of her experiences, while entering the glam world, projected in the form of a fiction. One of them was an indecent proposal from a producer, when the actress was just 24 year old.

She said in an interview with Rob Shuter, that she lost a “Big TV Series” as she refused to “bend over a chair in a producers’ office for ‘just a quickie.’” She said that the producer ended their first and last meeting by saying “Just pull your panties down and bend over and the role is yours”. That left the young aspiring actress too demoralized to see the producer again. She came back crying, never mentioning who the director was.

However, the two met for the second time several years later, during her stint on Melrose Place, when the producer came up to congratulate her, while she was walking the red carpet. That is when the actress confessed to have acquired the guts to threaten him that she would tell everyone about his dirty secrets to everyone in the town, if he ever repeats the same thing with any other aspiring actress. That was so early of her to have opened her mouth (after almost 23 years since the incident). Had opened her mouth before, this unknown producer would have probably kept his zip closed, to save the dignity of many other women.
