Linkin Park Rocks Crowd At Griffith Park Observatory

linkinSep 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Los Angeles’ Griffith Park Observatory played an apt host on Sunday night to Linkin Park that came forward with its debut single “The Catalyst” from its yet to be released album “A Thousand Suns” during the MTV Video Music Awards. The veteran rock band that had promised an “epic” event to its fans was able to live up to the expectation of the rock fanatics that jived to the music of “The Catalyst” at the Griffith Park Observatory.

Chester Bennington had earlier said to media sources that the band is really excited to perform at the MTV VMA ceremony and that being their first performance from their yet to be released album, “it’s a big show for us [them]“. On Sunday night therefore they took all the opportunity to make it big. The sky-scraping Griffith Park Observatory that was dazzling with candy-colored lights undoubtedly added to the effect of the performance. The stage that was set in front of the landmark place which had appeared in iconic films like “The Terminator” or “Rebel Without a Cause” added to the effect of the much awaited performance.

Apart from the location, the stage set up as well added to the ambiance of the band’s performance. As Mike Shinoda had earlier said the backdrop of the stage would be designed such that it would match some of the lyrics in the song, on Sunday night few will disagree to the statement that they kept their promise. The stage dazzled with flashing white search lights as the techno-metal rhythm rocked the stage and singer Chester Bennington started singing “And when I Close my Eyes tonight/ To symphonies of blinding light…”.
