videoAug 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Grammy-Award winning alt-rockers band “Linkin Park” proved that it is different from any other rock band once again this Sunday by its sheer way of releasing its first single from the much awaited album “A Thousand Suns” in a way that has never been done before. The band released the song titled “The Catalyst” in a trailer for the video game named “Medal of Honor”. The trailer of the video game has been directed by the Linkin Park band member Joe Hahn. Media reports claim that “The Catalyst” will also appear on the soundtrack of the game that is due to hit PlayStation 3, Personal Computers and Xbox 360 on October 12. Linkin Park’s “A Thousand Suns” is scheduled to be released on September 14.

The trailer undoubtedly is a unique mix of modern technology that makes the military action in “Medal of Honor” game look all the more real. Linkin Park’s “The Catalyst” no doubt fits with the subject matter of the game. According to Linkin Park’s bassist David “Phoenix” Farrell, the song has some “dark undertones” and has a lot of energy in it which he believes just fits with the subject matter of the game well.

The video game trailer shows Dusty a bearded middle aged man- escaping from Taliban attack in a village in Afghanistan along with some of his friends. He is seen braving all odds in his path. Dusty not only known how to drive a truck but also knows how to fly a helicopter when in need. The trailer also shows the brave hero going for some real war without looking perturbed. All eyes are now set on the release of the full album of Linkin Park.
