l-lohan-stJuly 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lindsay Lohan has landed herself in controversies again owing to her explicit fingernail message for which she might be charged with contempt of court. The “Mean Girls” actress appeared in Beverly Hills Superior Court on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 for her probation status hearing for her DUI charges on rash driving under the influence of cocaine. She was sentenced to 90 days jail by Los Angeles judge Marsha Revel at the probation violation hearing.

The “Herbie: Fully Loaded” actor on Tuesday inside the court was photographed in the courtroom with an obscene message written on her middle fingernail. Lindsay Lohan has, however denied that the explicit message was directed to the honorable judge Marsha Revel. She latter released a statement on popular social networking site Twitter that her manicure had nothing to do with the court and it was an “airbrush design from a stencil”. She meant to say that her nail art was just a “joke” with her friends. However, her statement could not satisfy the Public Defender Stacy Schneider, according to who Lindsay Lohan had not only insulted the judge, but also court and demanded a separate charge of “contempt”.

The Public Defender also said that the manicure was grossly offensive to the decency or morality and Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer should have taken extra care to prevent it from happening. The actress can face three or five days more in jail because of her manicure. Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer was not available for comments. The actress later tweeted that her punishment was cruel and inhuman and asked her followers to comment on the same social networking site.
