lohan1 Los Angeles, July 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) This seems to be a bad time for Lindsay Lohan. The Hollywood actress cried in court a few days ago, when she was ordered to undergo a 3-month jail term for violating her probation terms after previous arrests for drunk driving.

It may be recalled that Lindsay Lohan had sued E-Trade, which is a financial firm based in Manhattan for $100 million for defamation. This is as a result of one of the firm’s adverts, which features a “milkaholic” baby named after her. The actress who is reported to be struggling financially believes the advert is based on her and her reputation is being “defamed” as a result of that.

The lawsuit was filed at Nassau County Supreme Court where the actress allegedly lives but the case has been moved to the city where E-Trade’s headquarters are located, as requested by the financial firm’s legal team.

The trial judge, Justice James Yates in his ruling stated that the actress’ defense team failed to prove that the actress really lived in Nassau County full-time. “Plaintiff’s affidavit does not reveal anything about how the plaintiff divides the time between her residences or how long she spends at each residence, and thus this lack of proof is insufficient to show residence in Nassau County,” according to Justice James Yates.
