May 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lindsay Lohan seems to have a new piece of jewelry to flaunt. Only, she would hardly have wanted to flaunt it. After she missed out the mandatory hearing in court on Thursday, the judge issued an arrest warrant in her name. Moreover, bail for her was also set at $100,000. It has been ruled by the judge that if Lindsay Lohan manages to pay the bail amount, she would be prohibited from drinking and would also have to wear a SCRAM bracelet. It has been reported that she will also have to go for a compulsory drug test that will be held every week.

This is not the first time that Lindsay Lohan is going to wear the SCRAM bracelet. Given her record, she had also worn it once before, but that time it was voluntary, when she came out of rehab for alcoholism. However, this time it is compulsory and court ordained for her to wear the SCRAM bracelet. The bracelet is going to be monitored every half an hour; that is to say, it would be measuring the level of alcohol in her bloodstream and would report to the one monitoring it, in her case, the prison authorities.

Lindsay Lohan’s attorney, however, commented that she had not missed the court hearing on purpose, and that she had even bought the tickets for Los Angeles from Cannes, where she is attending the film fiesta. Her attorney commented that the actress had lost her passport while at the film festival, and thus had failed to appear at the court in time for the hearing.
