May 25, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Actress Lindsay Lohan faces more troubles after failing to make an appearance at a mandatory hearing in the California court last Thursday. Judge Marsha Revel, who had initially issued an arrest warrant against Lohan, said that she can remain free on bail but ordered her to wear a Scram device on her ankle and submit to random drug tests.

Judge Revel warned Lohan that she risked jail if she fails in complying with any terms and condition of her bail. She also insisted that Lohan attains weekly alcohol education classes.

Shawn Chapman Holley, Lohan’s Lawyer told the court that the actress will have to travel to Texas to film a movie but Judge Revel refused any relaxation in the restriction. Judge Revel remained indifferent to the suggestion that Lohan could fulfil the probation requirements in Texas and said that she might have to delay the project.

Lohan failed to show up in the court last week, claiming that her passport was stolen in France were she was attending the Cannes Film Festival. When asked by the judge if she understands the order, Lohan said that she does and this was her only statement in the court.

A probation violation hearing has been set by the judge for July 6 to address Lohan’s failure in appearing in court last week for a scheduled progress report on the probation stemming from the two high-profile arrests.
