New Delhi, Mar 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) There is some real bad news for the all the Indian fans of Hollywood diva Lindsay Lohan as the Indian government is contemplating banning the “Freaky Friday” star from visiting the country as she violated certain visa norms during her last visit to India in the month of December, last year.
The 23 year old “Mean Girls” star visited the nation in December to film a documentary based on the theme of child labor and women trafficking. However, the actress attracted widespread attention due to her India visit owing to her over the top claims of social activism in which she asserted to have saved the lives of around 40 children from child trafficking in a raid during her stay in India. However, activist involved in the raid refuted the Hollywood diva’s claim and confirmed that Lindsay Lohan arrived in India after the raids were conducted and had just gone to visit the children during her stay.
Meanwhile, when authorities looked into the matter not only did they find Lindsay Lohan guilty of lying about being the ’savior’ of the children, but also discovered the pop singer has flouted visa guidelines. It came to light that the much acclaimed actress visited India on a ‘tourist visa’ although she should have used a short-term work visa as per the visa guidelines. It has been revealed that currently the case is being examined by senior government officials which is yet to decide whether Lindsay Lohan’s name should be included in the immigration blacklist. However, if the government actually decides to ban the actress, if would leave her Indian fans highly disappointed.
