Lindsay Lohan due back in court, twice in the span of a week
February 23rd, 2011 - 7:25 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Feb 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lindsay Lohan would be making two appearances in court this week.
The actress would be in court on Wednesday where she is expected to defend herself against a grand theft charge. The actress is also due in court later in the week for a probation status hearing that would determine whether she violated her probation conditions.
At the Airport Courthouse, Lohan would be making her second appearance in her grand theft charge case. When she appeared before the court two weeks ago, Lohan pleaded not guilty to the charge. Her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, later said she would consider a plea bargain offer from the prosecutors if it would save her client from serving time in jail.
According to some analysts the evidence against Lohan is so strong after she was caught on surveillance camera stealing a $2,500 necklace from a boutique in Venice. She may spend up to three years in jail if she is found guilty.
That is not the only case that could send the actress to jail. Lohan is due in court on Friday for a probation status hearing. Events could be much worse if prosecutors in Riverside County decide to press charges against the actress over a brawl at the Betty Ford Center.
