Linda Gray ’sets conditions’ for return in Dallas TV remake
October 24th, 2009 - 5:28 pm ICT by ANILondon, October 24 (ANI): Linda Gray has said she does not want to reprise her role of Sue Ellen Ewing as a “boring” old lady in the TV remake of the soap opera Dallas.
The 69-year-old American actress said she wanted her popular character to be a “powerhouse role model” for older women in the planned television series.
“I’m not going to wear little boring dresses with pearls around my neck. At this age, Sue Ellen should be a powerhouse role model,” The Telegraph quoted her as telling TV Guide.
Dallas originally ran as a prime-time television soap opera for 13 seasons from 1978 to 1991.
It revolved around the Ewings, a wealthy Texas family in the oil and cattle-ranching industries. (ANI)
