Kolkata, Aug 3 (IANS) Major pen producer Linc has widened its reach to venture into entertainment business with its first film “Shakal Pe Mat Ja” scheduled to release Sep 23.
“Shakal Pe Mat Ja” is the first offering of the new production house Linc Entertainment.
The Hindi movie is based on the true story of four young boys who get caught up as suspected terrorists at the Delhi international airport, while capturing an aircraft landing on their handy cam. The story then turns crazy when they are interrogated by the officials ensuring that every moment is a crazy laugh riot.
The film apart from featuring some of the industry’s veterans like Saurabh Shukla (of “Satya”, “Slumdog Millionaire” fame), Raghubir Yadav (of “Peepli Live”, “Lagaan”), also boasts the presence of a crop of extremely talented newcomers.
“While making films was altogether different from producing pens, the marketing and distribution was very similar. We are excited about our new move,” said Deepak Jalan, Managing Director of the parent company said at a media meet here.
Shubh Mukherjee is the director of the movie which is being made at a total cost of around Rs.7-8 crore.
The company has plans to produce at least 2-3 low budget films in a year involving a total budget of around Rs.15 crore with a new cast.
