June 16th, 2009 - 4:19 pm ICT by GD ( Leave a comment )Stand up comedy may not have entirely lost it sheen, but it has surely lost has lost its share in the market. Now you know why our favorite Lily Tomlin, who made her debut into the world of comedy, said “No matter how cynical you get, it is hard to keep up”. She has touched on every form of comedy and holds expertise in sketch comedy as well. Quite a versatile lady, as she has given voice to Ms.Frizzle in the cartoon show “The Magic School Bus”. At the Tony Awards she won the lifetime achievement award in 1977, wherein she also performed on stage, her piece from,” Appearing Nitely”.
Not just Tony award, she has also encrypted her name on Grammy, Emmy award and now is nominated for Academy Awards.
Lily Tomlin has always said that “The road to success is always under construction”. She has made her appearance in TV shows, movies, theatre which enhanced every talent of hers.
This is for TV buffs, who find viewing TV the most entertaining. As a strong supporter Lily Tomlin once said that people who read lot of books are termed well-read, in that case people those who watch TV should also be termed well viewed. She feels one should be considered for what one does best. Quite a thoughtful one, no wonder audiences always lend their ear to what she has to say or perform on. She always has been known for her good power of observation which is important for any artist.
This is interesting news for animal lovers , as sources say, Lily Tomlin demanded release of elephants from Woodland Park Zoo. Their again her power of observation worked as she felt that elephants are in need of larger spaces to roam about freely, due to lack of which they fall prey to diseases.
