Lily Allen turns designer for masses
April 27th, 2010 - 3:14 pm ICT by IANSLondon, April 27 (IANS) Singer Lily Allen is all set to display her designer side on television with her very own fashion show. She has tied up with British network Channel 4 that will follow her as she opens her rental clothes store.
“It is happening. The name and how many shows there will be is still undecided. It is due to go out early next year,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted a spokesperson from Channel 4 as saying.
The rental fashion store is called Lucy In Disguise and Lily co-owns it with her sibling Sarah. They attempt to reach the masses who can’t afford to buy expensive designer clothes.
“It’s about making fashion democratic, that’s the idea behind it. It’s about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won’t cost them a million dollars,” said Lily.
