“Lil Wayne Shot” Rumors Hit The Internet

lil_wayne_summer_jam_2008 Some bored Internet users sitting idle on a Sunday afternoon may have thought of giving vent to his boredom by embarking on a “fake celebrity killing” spree again. On the heels of a series of celebrity death rumors that had hit the internet following the deaths of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, comes another speculating rumor of the Grammy Award winning rapper Lil Wayne’s death.

This time though the rumor had gone one step ahead by providing suggestions that Wayne was supposedly shot at while he was in the premises of the Georgia airport. Fortunately, the rumor didn’t get too far and reports condemning the rumors to be just another fake call, stubbed it in it’s initial growth. Lil Wayne was in Georgia on the supposed day because he had a concert where he was performing that day.

This is turning out to be some sort a trend that has come in to existence. One thing is for certain now that any celebrity death news that comes in to circulation on the weekend or on a Monday, are mostly going to be treated very suspiciously until it gets validated by some authentic source. People have now gotten tired because of these “fooling around.”

Some sites had claimed that Wayne (real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) had been “brutally shot 6 times with a semi automatic 9 mm Smith & Wesson handgun.”

For all Lil Wayne fans this should be an assurance that the popular rapper has not been shot at and is hail and hearty. It sure will take more than “shooting rumors” to get the spunky rapper down.
