Lil Wayne facing lawsuit
August 22nd, 2011 - 2:13 pm ICT by IANSLos Angeles, Aug 22 (IANS) Singer Lil Wayne is being sued by another rapper who alleges that he has stolen the beat of his track “How to Love”.
Rapper Rich Rick filed legal documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court saying he had bought several master recordings from a group of rap producers called Drummer Boyz between 2006 and 2009, which includes the beat that Wayne has used in his song.
In the lawsuit, Rick also claims that Drummer Boyz pitched the same beat to him as well as Wayne in November last year, and it went Waynein exchange for a 35 percent royalty agreement, reports contactmusic.com.
Now Rick is suing both Wayne and the Drummer Boyz for breach of contract and fraud, among other allegations.
