September 28, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Lil Wayne, the rapper may be behind bars at Ricker’s island but that certainly did not deter him from bringing out his new album. In fact, it really seems that the 28 year old Wayne manages to do much more than some of his compatriots who are free.

Dwayne Carter Jr, which is his real name is also spending his birthday confined within the four walls of a prison cell. He got to release his eighth and most recent album, ‘I am not a human being’ online, last Monday. The retailers would not be pleased as they cannot sell the CD version of the song before the 12th of October. The online version currently features ten songs which will be increased by three more after it hits the music stores this October.

The rapper had thanked his numerous fans for their staunch support on 13th September via his blog. He then went on to release a music video with the title track of his album on the 15th of September. The lyrics of his track are extremely explicit in nature though.

MTV news reveals that birthdays have always been a big deal with the gifts received by Wayne even superseding seven figures at times.

The singer had pleaded guilty to a weapons charge and was imprisoned on the 8th of March after a number of delays. He was tried for felony on account of his possession of a semi automatic pistol which was recovered from his tour bus in 2007. He will be due for release on the 4th of November this year.
