Lil Wayne Blogging From Prison For Friends and Fans

Apr 05 (THAINDIAN NEWS) LiL Wayne, also known to his fans as “Weezy” is not letting the fact that he is going to spend the next eight months in Riker’s Island Prison in New York from allowing him to reach his fans. He has launched a new website, designed to help him keep in touch with his friends, and fans until November, when he is expected to be released. “I want all of you to know that I appreciate all the mail I get, and this is my way of saying thank you,” Lil Wayne said in his first entry on weezythanxyou.com. “If I could, I’d write each one of you back. During my prison stint, I want my fans to know I love you. I want all of you to know that I appreciate all the mail I get, and this is my way of saying thank you”

Now before everyone goes on a rant about him having internet access and “living it up” in prison, that is not the case. He is not allowed internet access while in prison, but will writing handwritten letters which will be transcribed each week to the website by members of his team. Lil Wayne has stated that he will try to answer as much fan mail as he can. He answered letters from three fans in his first blog entry, making sure that he named each one. “Keep sending the letters and I promise to keep responding,” he wrote. “No matter what they do to erase me, my love for you will always be permanent.” His first entry has already gotten hundreds of comments from fans.
