lil-boosie1June 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Louisiana based rapper Lil Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch was indicted on Thursday evening, June 17 by an East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury for his involvement in the murder of Terry Boyd (35 years old). Torrence Hatch was charged with 2 counts conspiracy to Introduce Contraband into a Penal Institution, 3 counts Conspiracy to commit PWITD Narcotics as well. The district attorney Hillar Moore says that Lil Boosie who was imprisoned in Dixon Correctional Institute on charges of drug and gun possession, may face death penalty if the charges are proved true. Presently, he is transferred to East Baton Rouge Parish Prison as he has been indicted on first-degree murder charges for shooting Terry Boyd.

The singer whose recent album “Superbud: The Return Of Boosie Bad Azz” is doing well in music charts was in possession of ecstasy, marijuana and cocaine as the police says. Ryan “Sneaks” Caroll, 16, Johnathan Rogers, 17, Kendrick Johnson, 19, Jared Williams, 20 and Adrian Pittman, 36, have also been charged in the first degree murder. The Louisiana rapper who gained fame with his 2005 summer hit “Give Me That” is currently in jail for violating his probation in last November when he was sentenced to home confinement but he left his home multiple times. In last year September, Lil Boosie was found guilty to a third offense of marijuana possession charge, where judge was expected to sentence him 10 years of prison but he will serve one year prison at least after his lawyers reached a deal and will be in probation period for at least 2-5 years.

Given the recent murder charges, the rapper might have to face death penalty if convicted.
