Lil B gets death threats because of album title
April 26th, 2011 - 8:11 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, April 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rapper Lil B’s choice of album title has earned him death threats. The singer who is fast rising in fame and stardom recently announced that his next album will be titled ‘I’m Gay.’
The title has not been taken kindly by some section of the public. In an interview with MTV News, Lil B revealed that digital threats among several others have been sent to him. With all those threats coming to him, Lil B revealed that he is neither intimidated nor scared by the threats. He was emphatic about that saying he is not scared of “anybody on earth.”
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) in a separate interview with the XXLMag.com said they hope the rapper is not mocking them but rather showing solidarity. The singer who identified himself as ‘heterosexual gay’ said he is in fact on the side of the gay community in the United States. He called himself gay though he insisted that he has never been attracted to a man in his life. He said being happy is being gay and that is what he identifies himself with.
He accepted that his choice of the album title has got some of his fans to dump him. He said he is not bothered because such supporters “didn’t love me for real.”
