Life is painful at times: Hathaway

London, Aug 5 (IANS) Actress Anne Hathaway thinks life at times becomes very painful because bad things happen to people for no apparent reason.
“People deal with horrible things all the time. Downstairs in this pub, someone is battling cancer. Someone has lost their job. Life is really painful sometimes,” contactmusic.com quoted the 28-year-old as saying.
“I think it’s unusual for someone in a position of prominence to go through something like that but it’s not really unusual in life,” she added.
Hathaway, who is dating actor Adam Shulman after breaking up with Italian real estate developer Raffaello Follieri, is looking forward to turning a year older Nov 12.
“I think it’s the beginning of a process that really blossoms when you hit 30. It’s where you stop apologizing for who you are. It’s nice to not know things and that’s OK… That’s such a freedom,” she said.
