Liam Neeson’s scene cut from Hangover II
April 11th, 2011 - 7:57 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Apr 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Director Todd Philips announced that his decision to enroll Nick to recast the scene done by Liam Neeson in Hangover II was because of a scheduling conflict.
Nick Cassavetes was chosen to do the stunt as a Bangkok tattoo artist. It is reported that Mel Gibson was Philips’ first choice but other Hangover stars objected the idea and Liam was selected to do the part.
Liam Neeson was not available for re-filming the scene that takes place inside the tattoo parlor. “We were in a complete time crunch so I called up Nick and asked if he would do the part.” Nick immediately agreed and showed up and the scene was filmed.
So the audience will eventually see Nick Cassavetes’s scene that was originally filmed by Liam. Actors Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis play the roles of Phil, Dr. Stuart, and Alan Garner respectively.
Hangover was released in 2009 and made more than $400 million in box office. Hangover II will be released in May 26 and is expected to be a huge success as well. There were also reports that Bill Clinton is also going to be a part of the movie and his scenes were shot in Bangkok.
