Liam Gallagher ‘drops lawsuit’ against his brother Noel
August 24th, 2011 - 9:24 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Aug 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Liam Gallagher has decided against his intention to go ahead with the suit against his brother Noel for defaming him. The tension between the two brothers got to the fever pitch recently when Liam announced that he has filed a suit against his brother for claiming that he was drunk while their former band was supposed to perform.
Reports say Noel has finally apologized to his brother for the comments that he made when he was launching his first solo album last month. During the launch, Noel told a press conference that Liam pulled out of Britain’s V Festival in 2009 because he was suffering from a hangover.
During a webchat recently with his fans, Noel swallowed the humble pie and took back his words. He explained that the earlier reasons given at the time the concert was cancelled was in fact the correct account of what happened. When Liam pulled out, it was announced that he was suffering from laryngitis.
Noel also spoke about the relationship between himself and his brother saying the tension between them is “getting very silly and a little bit out of hand”.
The mother of the brothers, Peggy, is reportedly upset at the feud between the two.
