BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS (BNO NEWS) — Rich Cronin, LFO’s lead singer, on Wednesday died after suffering from a stroke, his brother told TMZ.
Cronin, 35, who was also the main songwriter for LFO, suffered a stroke on Wednesday after a five-year battle with leukemia. Cronin’s illness was first announced in 2005, and after chemotherapy, the disease persisted.
Since the first diagnosis, the singer founded the Rich Cronin Hope Foundation, and after a stem cell transplant, bandmate Brad Fischetti said Cronin suffered a stroke and strong leg pains.
LFO first received national attention for 1999 hit singles “Girl on TV” and “Summer Girls.”
