June 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) For everyone who loved Tom Cruise’s avatar at the MTV Movie Awards, the star is reportedly making a spinoff from the ‘Tropical Thunder’ character.

Tom Cruise is presently in talks with Ben Stiller to make a movie that features the foul-mouthed, diet-coke guzzling, hairy, bald movie executive Les Grossman. The character came into prominence recently when it opened the MTV Movie Awards night with a hilarious video.

The video which also featured the ‘Twilight’ stars, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, and Will Smith had the audience in splits. Later in the show Les Grossman was joined by Latino bombshell Jennifer Lopez in a hilarious routine of the song ‘Get Right’.

The Les Grossman character is originally from the Ben Stiller directed flick ‘Tropic Thunder’. Though it was a guest appearance by Tom Cruise, his character managed to steal the limelight from the lead. As the news of the spinoff movie spread movie buffs all over the world gave a mixed response to the idea.

According to some the character might be hilarious to watch in small stints but the entire 90 minutes dedicated to a loud, foul mouthed, balding and ugly Tom Cruise may just be too much to take.

Tom Cruise however feels that the character of Les Grossman is a classic story of human struggle for success against all odds. The fans have shown faith in the idea of a biopic on the character that shows his rise from a production assistant to a film mogul at the top of the Hollywood ladder.

Tom Cruise also said that it will be his privilege to be working with Ben Stiller again.
