London, Oct 18 (ANI): The man, who was accused of punching former X Factor winner Leona Lewis at a book signing, is suffering from paranoia and delusions of grandeur, it has emerged.
Peter Kowalczyk, 29, is charged with assaulting singer Leona, 24.
And he has been undergoing treatment for a form of paranoid schizophrenia since 2000.
The loner was deemed unfit for police interview over the drama at a London bookshop and has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
“He appears to have spent a lot of time on his own watching TV. To him stars like Leona became his friends,” The News of the World quoted a police source as saying. (ANI)
