Oct. 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) An unpleasant situation greeted British singer Leona Lewis and her boyfriend, Lou Al-Chamaa at a book singing event yesterday, when a fan made a leap at the singer. Following the incident, the singer and Al-Chamaa were immediately escorted out of the venue under a tight cordon of security. Without an iota of doubt, it is fair enough to assume that the singer has been measurably shaken up by the incident.

The reports of the incident has been confirmed by a spokesperson for the singer, Sarah Weinstein Dennison [who is from the RCA Music Group], who has stated that following the harrowing incident, the singer has been “understandably badly shaken”. She however did not sustain any physical injury during the unexpected encounter, even though she was rushed for a hurried medical examination. According to reports, Lewis has apologized to her fans as she was not able to meet them and “complete signings”, following the incident. It was not stated however, whether any attack was launched on Lou Al-Chamaa or not.

Dennison has stated that, “The police were called immediately, and medical attention has been sought.” What now appears is that a 29 year old man has been arrested in relation to the incident, on the charges of assault to the singer. It is believed that the man had stepped up to Leona in order to get her autograph, but when she had looked up at him, that man had punched her in the face. No further details have been revealed on the man’s identity. This was when the 24 year old Lewis had appeared at the Waterstones bookstore, located in Piccaddilly Circus at nearly about 4:36 p.m., at the signing of her new autobiography titled “Dreams”.
