Lennon’s Abbey Road suit to go under hammer
December 18th, 2010 - 3:33 am ICT by IANSLondon, Dec 18 (IANS) The white suit worn by John Lennon on the cover of the Beatles’ famous Abbey Road album has been put up on an auction.The wool-blend blazer and trousers, which Lennon is seen wearing in the 1969 record’s iconic artwork, will be auctioned off along with the jacket he wore in the video for his hit track “Imagine”, reports contactmusic.com .
A Chrysler station wagon once owned by Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono is also among the lots which will go under the hammer at the Braswell Galleries of Norwalk, Connecticut on New Year’s Day.
