Leighton Meester buys new $1.5 million mansion
September 30th, 2011 - 5:55 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Sept 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) 25-year-old Hollywood star and singer Leighton Meester has reportedly bought a house in Los Angeles for $1.5 million. The Gossip Girl star reportedly bought the house which is located in Encino, San Fernando Valley.
Unlike some other Hollywood stars, Meester chose a location which is out of town. The house was built in 1948 and is located on a ranch. It has four bedrooms and a living room. It is a single storey property with a huge master suite.
Born on the 9th of April 1986, Leighton jumped into stardom when she featured in the highly successful show Gossip Girl in 1999. She plays the role of Blair Waldorf in the CW series. She has since made appearances in several giant screen projects including “Monte Carlo,””Country Strong,”” Hangman’s Curse” and “The Roommate.” She is scheduled to appear in the project “The Uncatchable Cowgirl Bandits of Nottingham, Texas.” The movie will also feature Amber Heard.
As a singer, Leighton came out with her first studio single in 2009. The single, “Somebody to Love,” which featured R&B star Robin Thicke was released for download on digital stores that year. She later released her second single “Your Love’s a Drug” on the 30th of March 2010.
