leeLos Angeles, May 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Top 4 final contestants of “American Idol” have been rounded upon and one among the top 4 is Lee DeWyze. Judges of the 9th season of this popular television reality show were quite impressed with Lee DeWyze last week. They felt that the man’s performance to Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life” was wonderful. However this time on, Lee DeWyze seems to have disappointed the same judges.

This week “American Idol” hosted celebrations of the ‘Songs of the Cinema week’. Lee DeWyze’s song for the occasion was “Kiss From a Rose”. Considering that the song is a Grammy winner, one would have to be really good to sing it on stage. According to the judges of the 11th May episode, his presentation was for the most out of tune, and definitely not even close to the other songs staged by him earlier. In fact the judges felt that Lee DeWyze’s choice of the “Batman Forever” number was wrong! Whatever else he may be, he is definitely not a balladeer in the making.

Although two of the judges on the show yesterday clearly dismissed the 24 year old’s performance, the silver lining for Lee DeWyze was the support that he got from one of them who was of the opinion that he is a good singer and she loved his performance this time too.

If not for Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life”, Lee DeWyze’s performance last night to “Kiss From a Rose” could indeed land him in some serious trouble, agreed the judges. He could even be the one to stand for elimination among the four despite being a good singer.
